the song is "Tea for Two" from No No Nanette Fritz and Bubba The Love Brothers Fritz and Bubba are brothers who came to live with us in August 1998, again thanks to Doc. Bubba is an orange striped tabby with eyelashes much too long for any self-respecting boy to have. He's sweet and placid, a gentle alarm clock (getting Bubba kisses in the morning is a really nice way to wake up!) and watching him walk with his cute little swagger just cracks me up. Fritz is a tuxedo kitty, with the white blaze on his nose covering only the left side of his face. He's still got a bad eye - he had a corneal scratch that became ulcerated when he was still a wild kitten, and it's taking some time to heal. Just as Bubba's my wake-up call, Fritz purrs me a lullaby at night - as soon as I lie down he jumps up at the foot of the bed, runs straight up my body, sticks his little wet nose into my ear, and purrs like mad. He's really a tactile cat - as soon as I touch him he flops over on his back with all four little white paws up in the air, so I can scratch his belly. Of course, I'm totally unable to resist the invitation! They're both such good, sweet kitties. I love to watch them sleep together. Although Bubba's the bigger, tougher one of the two, he turns to Fritz for comfort and cuddling. They usually sleep spooned up together with Fritz on the outside, his little paw wrapped around Bubba's body. Bubba Fritz In January 1999, Penny came to live at the Zoo. Bubba immediately made friends with her, and she likes to nuzzle his neck. My sweet Bubba has a permanent "spike" hairdo these days - doggie drool is a great fur gel!
