the song is "That Old Black Magic" TC, Punch, and Buttons - The Terrible Trio TC Punch Buttons TC, Punch, and Buttons are kitties I trapped in the alley behind the pizza place in September 1998. They are 3rd or 4th generation ferals. (I also trapped Smudge and Shade there, but their story is on the "Successful Adoptions" page.) These cats are quite happy living at the Zoo - they get along well with the other Zoobies, and will hang out in the same room with me, but they're "untouchable". I always intended to find homes for them but they're just not good adoptable material, so I guess they're staying. TC is a sleek black panther. He's quite physically imposing, but he's a really big chicken. He slinks around the Zoo, trying to be unobtrusive. He's very friendly with the other cats, but he's still scared of humans. Punch is a handsome fellow, with huge eyes. He's curious, and he really wants to come for pets, he just hasn't gotten brave enough yet. He's a bit of a ladies' man - the female Zoobies certainly seem to enjoy his company! Buttons is a precious little girl. She gets braver by the day, and will sit on the other end of the sofa with me. She doesn't get upset when I move, as long as I don't make a move toward her - then she's off and running. I think they'll eventually relax and become friendlier; they take teeny steps all the time, and moving from NY to MI seems to have accelerated the process. They'll never be purring lap cats, but I hope that someday they'll be social enough to let me pet them.
